Château de Saint Aignan is a privately owned country estate in the heart of the Loire Valley that has been in our family since the 11th century. The Gatehouse cottage is at the entrance to the château and combines harmonious charm and originality with a warm, relaxed atmosphere to make a ideal base for a family or for friends travelling together or as a romantic retreat for a few days. The Dunois is the medieval wing of the château and on three floors, linked by a 15th century winding staircase with metre thick stone walls that keep it wonderfully cool in summer. Exquisitely furnished in an harmonious marriage of traditional style and modern comfort, it has a sauna, heated swimming pool, a pool table room and a small driving range for golfers. Near a good golf course and an aero club, 20 minutes from Bergerac and the vineyards. Sleeps 6/8 people.

The mill is about a hundred metres from the main house, quite private and independent, full of character and beautifully furnished. There are acres of beautifully laid out park and gardens with centuries old trees and a unique system of canals, bordered by a river (mainly trout). We are 15 minutes from the nearest beach and a short drive from Sainte Mère-l'Eglise, one of the Normandy Landing beaches. Cherbourg is about 20 minutes from here.

Furnished with comfort and charm, the cottage is privately situated in view of the lake, on a thousand acre estate in the heart of the Loire Valley. Ideal as a base from which to explore the region, or simply relax, contemplate and do some fishing. The lake, reserved only for our guests, has mainly tench, pike, perch and roach and a row boat is provided. Within reach of many of the finest châteaux and vineyards. The cottage is on the Chateau de Vaugaudry vineyard estate just outside Chinon in the Loire Valley. It is set amongst the vines on the side of a hill on the left bank of the River Vienne within sight of the great medieval castle at Chinon, close to many of the loveliest of the Loire chateaux. The 17th century tower is in the grounds of a family chateau in beautiful gardens, in a village close to the Dordogne and the Gironde borders. The tower has great authenticity and charm and has been made into a delightful private guest house, entirely furnished with personal, original family furniture and mementoes and surrounded by a private garden, which is sunny and peaceful, shaded by a judas tree and medlars. Bergerac 30 km, Bordeaux 80 km. Sleeps up to 4 people.

The dovecote has been turned into a charming hideaway cottage for couples, family or friends. Separated from the manoir by a courtyard, it has has three floors, an en suite double bedroom and a twin room. The ground floor has a bijou kitchen, a seating area with television and video and a dining area. Hairdryer provided. Glorious gardens and private fishing lake. Now a private family home, the Abbey dates from the 12th century and is an enchanting, peaceful and relaxing place, for couples, friends and families. We have two gite cottages that have been carefully restored with respect to tradition and an attention to detail to combine the charm and character of the setting with modern comforts. The pool is heated and it is easy to take an afternoon siesta there and drift off to the sound of the fountain playing. Close to the Loire chateaux. The château is situated in the extreme north of the Pays de la Loire in the lovely Mayenne countryside bordering on Brittany and Normandy, an hour from St Malo and beaches along the coast.
