Our 18th century house is very typical of the village with mature gardens bordered by a river and a small private lake stocked with fish. We have five double or twin bedrooms with bathrooms and two cottage suites suitable for a family or group of friends. Still privately owned, Cheverny has a splendidly classical château built by the same architects responsible for Chambord and Blois. Close to a golf course. Tours 45 kms, Paris 170 kms.

Château de Saint Aignan is a privately owned country estate in the heart of the Loire Valley that has been in our family since the 11th century. The Gatehouse cottage is at the entrance to the château and combines harmonious charm and originality with a warm, relaxed atmosphere to make a ideal base for a family or for friends travelling together or as a romantic retreat for a few days. The Cher is the very heart of France, 250 km south of Paris, between the Loire Valley and Burgundy, so you have the best of all worlds. The cottage has been recently renovated with lots of warmth and charm. There is a beautiful garden with a wonderful tree house for children and a heated swimming pool. Comfortable at any time of year in a relatively undiscovered part of the Loire, where people are open and friendly. Sleeps 6/8 people.

The cottage is part of our traditional Touraine farm, which was built in 1880 and is situated in countryside near Loches, within reach of some of the finest of the Loire châteaux, in an area known more for its gentle countryside, rivers and forests and hundreds of small lakes. The cottage is a short distance from the main house and is entirely private and independent with its own entrance. 40 kms from Tours, an hour from Paris by train. Sleeps 4 to 5 people.
