The house is in an exceptionally lovely valley situation overlooking Lake Dathée, surrounded by lush, unspoiled countryside, near a pleasant historic town. The lake is safe for swimming and has facilities for windsurfing, canoeing and rowing, there are also spots where you can fish and just beyond the lake is a good 9-hole golf course. An avenue of century old lime trees leads to the château and has splendid views over a countryside that could only be Normandy. Argouges is set in lovely park and gardens that have evolved over the years to give a peaceful feeling of continuity to a family home. The dovecote has been turned into a charming hideaway cottage for couples, family or friends. Separated from the manoir by a courtyard, it has has three floors, an en suite double bedroom and a twin room. Le Frêne is a family suite of two inter-connecting rooms, one with a king size bed for Mum and Dad and the other twin beds for the children. We also have a cot and a z-bed. The large family bathroom has both bath and separate shower and the suite has tea and coffee makinf facilities and a hairdryer. The house is set in peaceful walled gardens; a place to simply relax and explore this lovely area, or as a convenient stop over for a night or two. Dinner is available on request and we are within walking distance of a choice of restaurants. Close to golf, fishing and other activities.
