This delightful small manor house lies in a valley by a river, 12 kms from the beaches along the coast, from where you can see the Channel Islands in the distance. The house is quite unique in this part of Normandy and the surroundings and beautiful furnishings give a tremendously romantic feeling of stepping back into the period, in a part of France where time passes by unoticed and little changes. Our house is very typical, surrounded by a garden, an apple orchard with a courtyard and private parking, 10 minutes from Villedieu-les-Poëles; a family home where we have spent many happy times. A peaceful haven in which to simply rest and relax, read a good book and feel the sun on your face. Granville and the beaches are 30 minutes from here, Caen is 45 minutes, Dinard an hour. The cottage is part of the Manoir de la Porte estate, completely independent and very typical of the traditional architectural style of the Calvados area of Normandy with a large park to wander around in. We are 10 km from Pont l'Evêque, about 20 minutes from both Deauville, Honfleur and the beaches at Trouville and less than an hour from the Normandy Landing Beaches. Paris is 2 hours from here. Our house is tucked away outside the village of La Rivière St Sauveur, about 5 minutes from Honfleur, near beaches along the coast. This is a well loved family summer home where children can run around freely, set a large garden surrounded by peaceful country views with everything near at hand. Cheerful and easy to live in, it comprises the main house and an independent guest cottage with two bedrooms, ideal for older children, friends or grandparents. Deauville is 20 minutes from here, Le Havre is about 30 minutes via the bridge. Sleeps up to 8 people.
