Our house is very typical, surrounded by a garden, an apple orchard with a courtyard and private parking, 10 minutes from Villedieu-les-Poëles; a family home where we have spent many happy times. A peaceful haven in which to simply rest and relax, read a good book and feel the sun on your face. Granville and the beaches are 30 minutes from here, Caen is 45 minutes, Dinard an hour. Sleeps 8 adults and 7 children.

The house is an ideal base for reaching the excellent sandy beaches of Carolles and Jullouville and Mont St Michel, just a short distance south. We have two large family rooms and three double or twin rooms, all with en suite bathrooms. There is a good sized garden and pool that provides a safe environment for children, much of it given over to our animals, two ponies, a goat and a breton spaniel, who love any amount of attention. Within an easy drive of several good golf courses. Dinner available on request.

Our five en suite bedrooms are individually decorated and have tea and coffee making facilities as well as hairdryers. The house sits above the pretty village of Putanges-Pont-Écrepin and is set in peaceful walled gardens; a place to simply relax and explore this lovely area, or as a convenient stop over for a night or two. Dinner is available on request and we are within walking distance of a choice of restaurants. Close to golf, fishing and other activities. Caen, 45 minutes, Le Havre, 90 minutes, by car, Paris 80 minutes by TGV train.

This is a great family house, ideal for children with a pretty garden, surrounded by peaceful countryside in perhaps one of the loveliest parts of Normandy, an area of intensely green, pastoral countryside, grazing dairy herds and orchards, heavy with apples or blossom. An avenue of century old lime trees leads to the château and has splendid views over a countryside that could only be Normandy. Argouges is set in lovely park and gardens that have evolved over the years to give a peaceful feeling of continuity to a family home.
