Our house is in the tiny village of La Bastide d'Engras in the Provence Gard in Southern France. Secluded within its own courtyard with the swimming pool a few steps from the living area, it has been beautifully renovated and has a stunning view over the valley. The village has enormous charm, a sense of peace and timelessness, where life is unhurried and appreciated. A place where the senses are filled with colour and scent, by the sound of the cigales, by the sight of graceful cypress trees and by ancient stone warmed by the sun. Sleeps up to 6 people.

Mellowed by time and a hot sun, loved by all those who have lived here, the house lies just outside the village of Tresques in the Gard, between Languedoc Roussillon and Provence, so you have the best of all world's at your feet. The gite is private and independent; the pool is large and has sublime views. The old Duchy of Uzès is 15 kms from here, Orange, Avignon and Nimes are all 25 kms away. Sleeps 6 people.

Our villa is quietly situated just outside the village of Mollans-sur-Ouvèze on a hillside with wide open views towards Mont Ventoux in the distance. The garden is planted with olives, figs and vines, scented with lavender, juniper and rosemary. The swimming pool has mosaic tiles and Roman steps. Mollans lies on the River Ouvèze and has all the charm of an old Provence village. Vaison la Romaine 10 km. Sleeps up to 6 people.

Set amongst grapevine in three hectares of open garden, with lovely views of the Cevennes mountain range in the distance, it's place with a great sense of space and silence, where you can draw on the wild, natural beauty around. Uzes 17 km, within an hour of Avignon and beaches along the Mediterranean coast. Nimes 27 km. Sleeps 6/8 people.

This typical Provençal villa was built about a hundred years ago and has since been enlarged into a comfortable, pleasant house in the hills just outside Aix at Bibemus. The house is near the foothills of the Sainte Victoire Mountains, a part of the region that inspired and was much loved by Cézanne. The beaches along the Mediterranean coast and the pretty Luberon villages to the north are little over 30 minutes drive. Sleeps 4/5 people.

The villa is quite private, a pleasant retreat to retun to in quiet surroundings, tucked in a garden of about three acres, a 20 minute walk from the lovely old centre of Aix-en-Provence. Elegant and honey hued, cultured, urbane and relaxed, Aix is a cosmopolitan university town, splashed by a score of fountains. This year, the town celebrates its native son with a huge exhibition of Cezanne's work. The rolling hills, ochre soil and still, dusty green cypresses around Aix and of the Montagne Sainte Victoire, are depicted in many of his landscapes and for many, represent quintessential Provence. The pool is terraced and has underwater lighting and a safety alarm. Saint Remy de Provence and the lovely village of Gordes in the Luberon are both 20 minutes from here. Sleeps up to 7 people.

In the Dentelles de Montmirail and the heart of the Côtes du Rhône wine producing area, an hour from Avignon, Nîmes and Aix-en-Provence. The house is furnished in a cool southern style with marvellous views across the vines towards the mountains from the garden terrace and pool, and is a place where we have spent many happy times. Close to several Provencal villages, vineyards, markets and restaurants. Vaison 3 kms, Nimes 45 minutes, Avignon an hour. Sleeps 4/6 people.
