The house, full of nooks and crannies and crooked stone steps, has been meticulously modernised, furnishing and decorating, to give it charm and comfort without excess or artifice. The garden is prettily planted with many different varieties of plants, trees and flowers. A huge wisteria forms a lovely canopy for lunch in the shade, or an afternoon siesta in the hammock. This lovely old Mas, situated on the south side of a mountain has a great feeling of peace and quiet. One of the most beautiful sights near here are the lavender fields in June and July. Near vineyard villages and markets, 7 kms from Bollène which has all necessary shops and two supermarkets and under an hour from Orange and Avignon. Sleeps 10/12 people.

Our house is in the heart of the Alpilles mountain range, 2 km from the village of Maussane, 15 minutes from Saint Rémy de Provence between and Avignon and Arles. This is the Provence of the Rhone, an unbelievably beautiful area with a strong Roman heritage; the landscape of painters such as Cezanne and Van Gogh, who lived and worked here. The variety of top quality olive oil produced here, is beginning to make olive oil tasting almost as popular as wine tasting! Close to local vineyards, golf, gliding and a number of good restaurants. As comfortable and welcoming as home, the house is set in the hills above one of the finest beaches on the Côte d’Azur with stunning views across the bay. Beyond the headland is the sweeping Baie des Anges and Nice with its graceful Promenade des Anglais. Most places along the coast from Menton close to the Italian border, down to Cannes and beyond have good water sports facilities. There are also several excellent golf courses. Sleeps 8 people.
