Five Apartments in a Provençal Farmhouse with pool
Figanieres, 30 minutes from Ste Maxime and St Tropez, South of France

Le Mas de l'Hermitage
The Mas stands amongst three hectares of sweet smelling pines, olive trees and apricot orchards overlooking acres of vineyards and the beautiful Estérel hills beyond, a half hour drive from Sainte Maxime and St Tropez.
Restored and decorated in ochre from the Luberon with provençal style antique furniture and local stone floors in the bathrooms, the house is now a warm family home. It makes a wonderfully relaxing base where you can retreat and unwind and enjoy a good supper under the mulberry tree, cooked using fresh local ingredients and served with local wines. We will be happy to help you find out about local villages, markets, restaurants and local culture.
The Apartments Olive is a large first floor north-facing studio, with a private entrance and its own terrace where you can dine overlooking the olive groves and vineyards. It has a spacious room with a double bed, a coffee table, chairs and cupboards and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. The bathroom with shower is tiled with Salernes tiles and has a separate wc. It sleeps 2 people. Menthe is a south-facing studio on the first floor with a private entrance and a terrace with sunloungers and a dining area. The interior has exposed beams and is decorated using local ochre pigments. There are two large single beds, a sofa and chairs, a coffee table and a kitchen area. The bathroom has a bath/shower and wc. It also sleeps 2 people. Santoline is a large ground floor apartment with exposed beams, colourfully decorated in provençal colours using local materials. It has a bedroom with two large single beds, a spacious living room with a double sofa bed, another sofa, a coffee table and a dining table. The kitchen has a bar and stools and the bathroom has a shower and wc. It has its own entrance and a large east-facing terrace with garden furniture. This apartment sleeps 2/3 people. Bergamote is a colourful two bedroom, ground floor mezzanine apartment with a private entrance and a big terrace with a dining table and sunloungers overlooking the orchards and vineyards. There is a large twin bedroom and a smaller bedroom with two adult size bunk beds. On the lower level is a living room area with a sofa and coffee table and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen has all modern conveniences and the bathroom has a shower and wc. Sleeps 4 people. Safran is a ground floor studio apartment, prettily decorated, with twin beds, chairs and a coffee table, and a kitchen area with a bar and stools. It has an open plan bathroom with shower and wc. There is a terrace overlooking the vineyards and orchards with a table for outside eating, and sunloungers. It sleeps 2 people. Bed and Breakfast The two chambres d'hôtes are decorated in a provençal style and have private bathrooms. Anis is a twin room overlooking the apricot orchard with a sofa and coffee table and an open plan bathroom with a shower and wc. Thym is a suite with a double bedroom and a living room with a sofa, a single bed and a coffee table with a large bathroom with a shower and wc. It has lovely views of the vine covered valley and the sun sets on its own terrace. Dinner is available on request. The Area
All the local villages have several restaurants and bars as well as frequent markets, good bakers and shops selling honey, lavender, soap, herbs, baskets and leather. Each village has a character of its own and a relaxed atmosphere, with the sound of running water from the fountains and of pétanque being played all day, somewhere in the shade. The market at Le Muy on Sunday morning is a pleasure, where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables, local cheeses and fruit tarts. There is a golf course 15 minutes away at St Endreol, which is an 18 hole course and home of the French National Team. Other courses are at Ste Maxime and Roquebrune-sur-Argens, 30 minutes away. There are riding stables close by where you can hire Apaloosa horses and go into the hills and well marked hiking and cycling routes (we have maps). The Gorges du Verdon (45 minutes) are a must while you are here and make a good day trip, following the twisting roads from Castellane to the Lac de Ste Croix and back around the other side of the Gorges. There are lots of opportunities there to go swimming or canoeing on the lake, or paragliding, climbing or rafting. St Tropez and Ste Maxime both have good shopping, excellent restaurants and a good night life. The beaches there and others less well known, are a half hour drive away. Travel Information
