Villot
Villot, established for over 15 years and under new ownership, is a beautifully restored farming estate which has been transformed into a unique collection of holiday accommodation grouped around a court-yard, with three all weather tennis courts, two swimming pools and a poolside bar. Originally the working farming estate belonged to the 13th century Chateau Tombebouc, which dominates the valley.
Set in three hectares in the stunning Cazeneuve Valley, surrounded by streams and woodland, Villot is 55 minutes south of Bergerac airport in the Dordogne, 1 hour 45 minutes between Bordeaux and Toulouse airports, and only 15 minutes from the market town of Villeneuve on the Lot river mear the hilltop bastide town of Pujols. The Canal Latιral ΰ la Garonne, featured in Rick Steins French Odyssey, is less than 30 minutes from Villot at Agen and his most enduring memory, Nιrac, is only 50 minutes away. The Spanish border and the Pyrenees are about a two and a half hour drive from Villot. The Villot Farmhouse is a beautiful old stone built house with oak beams, tiled floors, a rose covered terrace, barbecues and a mature garden, with its own private 8 x 4 m swimming pool. The front door to the Farmhouse leads into the salon, a large (65 m2) living room with a big stone fireplace. There are two 3-seater sofas, armchairs and coffee tables. The salon leads into a large 7 x 6m open plan kitchen/dining room fully equipped with an oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. The large oak dining table seats 10. There is one double bedroom with its own door to the courtyard, a shower room, another double bedroom leading to an interconnecting two level apartment with one twin room on the lower level, bunk beds and a shower room on the mezzanine. On the first floor are three further bedrooms, one double and two twins, and a bathroom. The private 8 x 4m swimming pool to the Farmhouse is fully secured with steel fencing, has a uniform depth of 1.4m and a large sundeck.
The house has oil-fired central heating throughout, which is inclusive during the winter months. Satellite point for Sky Digibox in living room. La Grange is a charming cottage, accessed from the pretty flower filled courtyard with its own large private terrace and barbecue, has lovely views over the Cazeneuve valley. It has an open plan living room/dining room with a fully equipped kitchen area including an oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave. On the ground floor there is one double bedroom with en-suite shower and wc, a family bedroom with a double and a single bed and the main shower room and wc. Upstairs, there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with 2 single beds. In total, the cottage sleeps 8 people. There are washing and drying facilities within the grounds. Le Pigeonnier is a pretty, ancient dovecote on three levels and entered from the courtyard. It has its own private terrace with barbecue and fine views over the valley. Leading off the quarry tiled entrance is the first of the double bedrooms with an en-suite shower and doors opening onto a terrace. There is a living room with a dining table, which leads into a separate kitchen equipped with oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave, with a door leading onto the barbecue area. On this level is another shower room and wc. Up one flight of stairs is another double bedroom and on the second floor, is a third bedroom with one double bed and one single bed and an en-suite small bath and washbasin. There are washing and drying facilities within the grounds. Le Pigeonnier sleeps 6/8 people. La Colombe and L'Alouette each have 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4/5 people. These two stone cottages sit alongside each other with their vine covered terraces and barbecues facing onto the central courtyard. They both have open plan living rooms with a dining table and a kitchen area equipped with an oven and hob, fridge and dishwasher. There is also a shower room and wc. The accommodation on the first floor consists of an open-plan bedroom with a double bed, leading into an enclosed room in which L'Alouette has bunk beds and a single bed and La Colombe has 2 single beds. There are washing and drying facilities within the grounds. Vieux Atelier is a delightful stone cottage, originally the gatehouse into the courtyard and is ideally suited for 2 people. It has a kitchen, living room and dining area, equipped with a gas cooker, washing machine, fridge and microwave. The shower and wc are located on the ground floor. Stairs lead to the mezzanine, which has a double bed. This cottage is also suitable as an annex to one of the larger properties. The Area
Villot has three all weather tennis courts, two swimming pools and a poolside bar. Within easy reach are lakes, grottos, historic chβteaux and wonderful bastide villages to explore. Travel Information
