Villa Cédria
We welcome you warmly to our villa in La-Colle-sur-Loup, where we have three beautiful rooms awaiting our guests. The village is about 3 kms from Saint-Paul-de-Vence and only 17 kms from Nice and the airport. Cannes and Antibes on the Mediterranean coast, their fine palm lined boulevards and beaches, wonderful shops and restaurants, marinas and lively atmosphere, are within reasonable driving distance.
The villa is peacefully situated only a few minutes from the village. The three rooms are all on the ground floor. Each has its own terrace, a bathroom or shower room, television and DVD and a small fridge. Breakfast is served either in the dining room or out on one of the terraces on fine days. Dinner is available on request. The swimming pool and sunbeds are at the disposal of all our guests and at every turn, there are stunning views of the valley and of La Colle-sur-Loup. There is also a boules pitch and private parking. La Chambre Ivoire is a large twin room with a hallway, dressing and sitting room areas, television and DVD and a small fridge and a large bathroom with a bath/shower, double wash basins, a wc and bidet.
La Chambre Rouge is a cosy double room with a shower room, a dressing area, two chairs and a small table, television with DVD and a small fridge. La Chambre Verte is a spacious twin room with a shower room, television and DVD, a small fridge, a dressing area and two armchairs and a small table. Within 5 kms is a golf course, tennis courts and riding stables and the beaches are little more than half an hour away.
The Area
Saint-Paul-de-Vence (3 kms), once the home of the painter Marc Chagall, sits on a hilltop. The village has a particular charm with narrow streets and old honey stone houses, best appreciated during the quieter times of the year. Perhaps because of its setting or the quality of the light there, it has always attracted painters. You can walk around the 16th century ramparts, visit one of several galleries or stop at the 13th century Gothic church to see the painting by Tintoretto. Just outside the village is the Maeght Foundation, an open air museum with artists studios and a splendid collection works by Bonnard and Braque, Giacometti, Kandinsky and Miró. The old town of Vence, 4 kms beyond St Paul, is famous for growing flowers. The ancient town walls form a circular boulevard around the centre of Vence. The Place Peyra has great charm and the cathedral has some amusing choir stalls. More unusual is the Chapelle du Rosaire to the north of the town, designed and decorated by Matisse. Apart from the sweep of handsome, ornate buildings along the Promenade des Anglais, Nice also has an attractive, pink painted town, clustered around the port. In the oldest part of the town is a wonderful flower and vegetable market, which fills the air with mouthwatering, aromatic smells. The main event of the year is the two week Mardi Gras Carnival in February, when the whole town joins in with parades and celebrations. Travel Information
