A truly peaceful, idyllic setting for your holiday yet within walking distance of the village where you will find the boulangerie, the café, a well stocked grocery shop, doctors, a dentist and a pharmacy. This traditional Breton village is 20 minutes drive from Paimpol and the stunning Granite Rose coast, beaches and fishing ports, and only 10 minutes from the historic little town of Guingamp and the village of Pontrieux. Brest airport and the ferry port at Roscoff are an hour away.
Renovated and restored by master craftsmen in 2004, the manoir provides a very high standard of comfort. Enjoy the warm, original features such as the huge chestnut and oak beams, terracotta flooring, monumental fireplaces and more. If you like light and sunny rooms, you will love the three reception rooms and farmhouse kitchen, as they all enjoy a double aspect to the front and rear gardens and the lake. Oozing with charm from its religious roots, the manoir has a long documented history dating back to the 15th century and was used as the location for the French film ‘L’Affaire Seznec’. The manoir sleeps up to 16 people in 6/7 en suite bedrooms with flexible sleeping configurations, please contact us about your precise requirements. There are large reception rooms with oak and chestnut beams, open fireplaces in three receptions rooms and a large farmhouse kitchen with good size dining table. Communicating double doors connect the two wings of the house on the ground floor. For the larger group, a separate but annexed 3 bedroomed 2 bathroom converted hay loft with a huge open plan stone walled lounge diner, is available on request when renting the manoir. Please enquire for prices and details. Exclusive use of the manoir comprising the East and West wings provides very spacious accommodation. For extra comfort and flexibility, each wing has private front and rear doors. The East Wing has a large, stately sitting room with a huge fireplace, chestnut and oak beams and a double aspect to the front and rear of the house with French windows opening onto the gardens and lake and a reading room. There is also a ground floor wc.
Stairs lead up to a large hallway with windows to the rear overlooking the gardens. There are two en suite bedrooms, 1 double bedroom with a king size bed and 1 twin bedroom, both with exposed beams and a Southerly aspect to the front. An extra bed could be added to each of these rooms if needed. The second floor has a suite with a private bathroom with a full size bath and a separate shower, a lounge area, and a king size double bed. An extra single bed could be added to this room and the sofa bed could be made up to give further sleeping accommodation if required. The suite has aspects to the front, rear and side with beautiful, extensive views. In the West Wing there is a spacious, fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with range cooker and kitchen table seating 12 people plus a separate dining room with a grand piano and seating for up to 20 people (when used as a dining room only).
