Lutter is a small village near the Alsace Jura hills, about 50 km from Mulhouse, close to the border with Germany and Switzerland, where Christine and her daughter Carmen run the Auberge Restaurant and separate Country Hotel with affection, energy and humour. All the rooms have either an en suite bathroom with bath or shower, telephone, television and a mini-fridge. The restaurant has a good reputation for traditional dishes and a variety of menus.
The Auberge is the original main house, brightly decorated with flowers with several rooms upstairs and the restaurant below. A short walk away is the Hostellerie, a 17th century building, embellished with flowers and set in a garden bordered by a stream with private parking. The rooms here are all individually decorated, intimate and comfortable.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant. In summer, meals are served outside on the terrace. Breakfast is generous with home made pastries, jams and a variety of breads, fruit juice, coffee or tea. Lunch and dinner menus range between 10 and 55 euros. Half board is available. The Area
Ideal as a base for walking or cycling in the beautiful Jura hills, the Hotel Auberge is also conveniently located for Mulhouse, Belfort in the extreme south of Alsace or Basle just across the border into Switzerland. Colmar is an hour from here, Strasbourg, 2 hours. Travel Information
