La Ginabelle
The apartments are in the heart of Chamonix and specifically designed to offer maximum comfort for groups of 2 to 8 people. The apartments are spacious, warm and fully equipped with everything you need to make your ski holiday as pleasant as possible. The residence offers ski in/ski out facilities and Wi-Fi Internet access throughout and there is a restaurant.
Chamonix has a spectacular setting looking onto the Mont Blanc mountain range and every facility for summer and winter activities. The town has a variety of shops and restaurants, ski equipment hire shop, banks, a cinema, bars, a casino and nightclubs and a regular bus service, which serves the valley. The Saturday morning market in the Place du Mont Blanc is a chance to find some of the fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses and mountain hams and salamis that the Savoie is famous for. Geneva and Annecy airports are an hour from Chamonix.
All the apartments have television, wifi Internet access and a balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with 4 ceramic hobs, multifunction oven, hood, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster. The 3 bedroom apartments and some of the 2 bedroom apartments have a shower room in addition to the bathroom. There are heated towels rails and beds are made up ready for arrival. Several apartments are available for those with reduced mobility. There is a restaurant on site and a Catering Service is available with a variety of menus to choose from, including breakfast. The hampers are delivered directly to your apartment. Our Well Being Centre is open to all free of charge, with indoor heated swimming pool, saunas, steam rooms, cardio-training room and relaxation room. Facial and body beauty treatments are also available. Children’s Clubs are available locally for children between the ages of 3 to 12 years. These provide a range of games and activities including ski lessons. One and half day options. Lunch and snacks can be included.
The Area
Enjoy discounted rates on a whole range of after ski activities: snow shoe walks, paragliding, quad bikes and karting on ice, helicopter flights, sightseeing flights, husky dog sledding, cross-country skiing, climbing frozen waterfalls. The Aiguille du Midi (alt. 3,842m) have outstanding, unspoilt views that includes the snowy peaks of the Mont Blanc range and the steep sides of the "aiguilles" or "needles" (accessible by cable car). "Le Brévent" (alt. 2,526m) has a view across the French side of the Mont Blanc range and over the Chamonix valley. The "Mer de Glace" glacier (minimum altitude of the glacier: 1,700m) and the amazing obelisk of Le Dru and La Verte, has views of part of Chamonix and over the Montenvers peaks. For anyone with a taste for the unusual, a visit to the ice caves and the "crystal gallery" is a must. Worth a visit are the Museum of Alpine Fauna in Montenvers and the Montenvers hotel restaurant, built in 1880 and the tallest in the valley. The Devouassoud bell-making company has been owned by the same family for 6 generations and has kept alive an ancient tradition. The Little Train goes right to the banks of the Glacier.
